Tokyo Tower Data: Tokyo tower is 333 meters high. Since opening in 1958 Tokyo Tower has been the world's tallest self-supporting steel tower. The Eiffel Tower in Paris is 320 meters high. Tokyo tower weighs 4,000 tons compared to the Eiffel tower which is 7,000 tons this is due to remarkableadvances in steel manufacturing and constrtuction technology. 140 drums or 28,000 litres of paint were used to complete the tower which is painted in orange and white according to the Civil Aeronautic Law. The Tower broadcasts 24 waves, 14 analog and 10 digital. One hundred and seventy-six floodlights are installed in various parts of the tower which makes for a great scence at night.
